At The International Riyadh Fashion Week In Partnership With AlJazirah Ford International Designer Hama Yassen was featured for her most recent modest fashion collection at the eighth installation of the annual Modest Fashion Week, held this year in Riyadh.

With a theme of “Roots to the Future,” the event focused on fashion and culture in 2030. 

Modest Fashion Week was held in December in Riyadh. As the eighth edition of this fashion week, it has quickly risen to one of the biggest four fashion weeks in the world, with the likes of New York and Paris. Held in a different city every year, this was the first time in Riyadh.

This fashion week uniquely displays and celebrates modest fashion. Modest fashion is a worldwide, growing trend that is often associated with veiled women. However, this part of the fashion world encompasses a far larger group, and this event aims to spotlight that. 

This year, modest fashion designer Hama Yassen partnered with AlJazirah Ford International to showcase her new line at this major fashion event. Her line was a stunning addition to the Riyadh Fashion Week.

Modest Fashion Week this year was focused on “Roots to the Future.” This theme was intended to highlight what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia could be like in 2030. With Riyadh posed as the fashion capital of the world, designers like Hama Yassen worked tirelessly on gorgeous modest lines to present at the Al-Faisaliah Hotel. 

This collection by Hama Yassen highlighted the elegance of women’s fashion with modest and stunning suits. The colorful line featured numerous styles with bold colors, incredible fabrics, and unique looks. With inspiration from fashion all across the world, the line provides different levels of modest wear to fit the numerous women who strive for modest fashion. 

Hama Yassen provided a glamorous line of women’s modest business attire in the form of pantsuits. She designed suits that have detachable elements that can be easily added to make the attire adapt to different types of occasions; day vs. evening wear. This part of Hama Yassen’s tribute to Modest Fashion Week will be available for purchase on the Khood online fashion store beginning January 1st

Hama Yassen’s designs are intended to focus on comfort, elegance, and the happiness of the one who wears them. She attended the Burgo School of Fashion in Milan to hone her skills as she draws inspiration from all across the globe. 

In addition to being featured in fashion weeks like the Modest Fashion Week in Riyadh, Hama Yassen has dozens of beautiful styles available through the Khood online fashion store, including some that were featured during fashion week. 

 

Hama Yassen’s stunning lines were featured in partnership with AlJazirah Ford International. Their addition to Modest Fashion Week in Riyadh was most welcome with elegance and happiness and intended to showcase women’s modest fashion.

Finally the modest fashion week arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Riyadh Modest Fashion Week 22 on 15-16-17  December at Al Faisaliah Hotel, the iconic venue of the Riyadh city. This will be the 8th edition of the event.

Inspired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 vision, the theme will be ‘’Roots to the Future’’ aiming to highlight the city of Riyadh as one of the fashion capitals of the world. A fashion week in general  is a fashion event, taking place usually in a specific city, scheduled for one week.

In nonstop runway shows, parties and fashion events, where the hottest fashion designers, brands or “houses” display their upcoming season’s collections in runway fashion shows to the media, journalists, celebrities, fashionistas and retail buyers.

These events are a chance for fashion designers to know the critique trends, find new models, and it obviously influences the upcoming fashion trends for the current and upcoming seasons.

Most likely, the direct answer is no. If you are a celebrity, fashion blogger or major buyer (retail), You need to be invited by any one who is related to this event such as designers, designer’s PR representatives.

 

Somehow you can work as an intern or volunteer for the organizers or designers if you just want to attend the show.

The Arab Fashion Week is the official fashion week in the Arab region, particularly in Dubai. It is also considered one of the most important international fashion weeks, as it was recognized as the fifth international fashion week, along with the fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris.

The Arab Fashion Week is held in coordination by the Arab Fashion Council and the strategic partnership with Dubai Design District.

It takes place 4 times annually, twice in October and March for women’s, and twice in January and June for men’s.

The activities of the Arab Fashion Week, in its 21st edition, kicked off in Dubai on 10/10/2022. It  was held as a strategic partnership between the Dubai Design District of the Tecom Group, which is responsible for managing the Media City, and the Arab Fashion Council.

 

The most important feature of Fashion Week this time is the construction of dedicated venues for the event in the Dubai Design District.

 

It included many distinctive events, which were organized for the first time, including shopping experiences, tastings, and entertainment activities. Also, It presented a program full of various experiences and distinctive offers.

 

It aims to consolidating Dubai’s position as a global hub for various major international companies and emerging companies in the fields of fashion, design and creativity.

 

The Arab Fashion Week was held with the participation of elite designers and famous names in the field of fashion. With media coverage from various media for the events of the fall-winter 2022-2023 haute couture season, and the ready-to-wear fashion shows for summer and spring 2023.

 

The Arab Fashion Week has become an integral part of the international fashion agenda.

 

 

Highlights of Arab Fashion Week, October 2022

 

  • The 21st edition of the Arab Fashion Week is the largest ever; it lasted for 6 days, and was full of shows and events.

 

  • The first collaboration of an Arab designer (Jean Louis Sabaji) with a Barbie doll, to be inspired by her collection.

 

  • The plus size models appeared in  the Arab fashion week. one of them is Tunisian model Amani Asibi.

 

  • Showcasing the Emirati fashion brand Amato Couture, designed by Furne One, as his collection was inspired by Maharaja costumes and ancient Indian fashion in a modern way.

 

  • Jordanian designer Farah Bseiso presented the ‘Fallen Rose’ collection from her brand, Mada’in. It was inspired by London gardens, especially the gardens of Buckingham Palace, in honor of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

  • The appearance of Egyptian blogger Lugina Salah on the show, emphasizing the support and empowerment of women.

 

  • The participation of the Emirati brand “The Giving Movement” for the first time in the Arab Fashion Week. It presented its new collection under the title “FiftyMade.

 

  • The fifth participation of the Parisian brand “Winsanto”, which highlights the importance of Dubai in embracing talents and important brands in the fashion world.

 

  • Polish designer Dorota Goldpoint’s show, in which she took the audience on a journey through the meadows and orchards of Poland, as she presented outfits in muted colors full of flowers with touches of golden degrees.
